To deactivate a licence, open the licence.txt file. If you cannot read the writing at the start of the file (for example if it looks like Chinese characters with no line breaks), close the file, open notepad, got to File -> Open and change the encoding (bottom right of window, just to the left of the open button, use the drop-down menu) to UTF-8. Then select the licence.txt file and click Open.
To deactivate a licence, open the default settings.txt file. Add a line at the bottom containing the word "deactivate". Run Expert as administrator. Remove the "deactvate" line from default settings.txt. Include a copy of the generated deactivation XXXXXX.txt file and the licence.txt file when you request a new licence.

You will see a line starting with "Licence Type:". Change this to: "Licence Type: Deactivate". Run Expert as administrator. It will create a licence deactivation file. Email this file to us when you request the licence for the other computer.

Licences are issued for a single computer only. IVS may, at our discretion, allow you to move a licence from one computer to another, provided that you can supply a valid deactivation file. An administration fee may apply.

Your software will create a file called "licence request vXXXXx.txt". To obtain a free 12 month trial license, or to purchase a license, you will need to email this file to us. The file will be located in the same folder as the executable you copied during installation.

When you receive the licence file, simply copy it into the same folder as the licence request file. Restart Expert with administrator rights for a new license to take effect. You should only need to run as administrator once. Enter your email address when prompted. This should be the email address associated with the license. For example, the address that the licence file was emailed to. Then agree to the end user license agreement.

Expert should now work with all the features associated with your license. For more details, see the home page.

The license file should be called "licence.txt" with nothing else in the file name. Rename it if necessary. Note the Australian spelling with no 's'.
